Let it be known, that I have hereby personally taken it upon myself to memorize, and thereafter recite pi, to 100,000 decimal places!
.. is what that Japanese guy said to himself before he set out to do just that last year.
Can you believe that? A 60 year old man, (Akira Haraguchi) memorised 100,000 digits. This isn't your mate's cellphone, or the address of your nana. This guy is playing with the big dogs here.
Myself? I can barely remember how old I am sometimes. (Ok, my memory isn't that bad.. but still..)
Every year, when the clock strikes 12am on March 28th, I get kinda excited. I still enjoy birthdays, and usually I'm with my family (though this year and the last I've been abroad).
Though like many people out there, I believe you're only as old as you feel, and truth be told I don't know how old that is.. Sometimes I feel like I'm 18 still, other times, I feel like I'm much older than that. Probably the same with everyone I guess.
I am, however, for some strange reason waiting for my 24th. I've never known why, but 24 has always been my favourite age, and I'm excited about that one.
For now though, I'm 23, and contrary to the reaction I had to certain thrillers starring Jim Carrey, I'm going to enjoy it like I always do.
Thanks to everyone that sent me a message, I'll post again soon!

St. Patty's Day, The Pub Crawl, and Return of the Sand-wench!
Ok, so there's no such person as the sand-wench.. I just thought it sounded cool..
Regardless, I think an update to recent frivolities is in order!
So, a couple of weeks ago, I was invited once again, to the Deadman's Island Annual Pub Crawl! This night is special for me, because it marks the beginning of a drunken binge in which I wake up half naked and painted with orange whizz-fizz in a parking lot. No, it's because the pub crawl last year, was how I met a fantabulous bunch of people.
This year was great fun. Donned in our matching black t-shirts with 'Deadman's Pub Crawl 2007' proudly printed on the front, we made our way up and down Granville st, sampling the best the nightlife in Vancouver has to offer, all while comandeering certain items of interest, from certain pubs... (By the way, well done Christian, I don't know how you managed to get that banner off the wall without anyone noticing!)
A month later, (this past Saturday) I went to a St. Patrick's day party organised by the very same bunch, and although I haven't yet recieved the photos, I can assure you there was a large pool table, a plastic leprechaun hat, and a dancefloor, two of which had me on them, and one of which was on me at various points through the evening.. (I was very well behaved I promise!)
On another note!
I'm uber excited now because during a phone conversation I had last night, I was reminded by a certain someone that my birthday is in 8 days! Weee! (I had actually forgotten.. o_O )
More shall follow!
Cheers all!

James' random bubble of wisdom for today:
The Lebanese dollar is called 'The Lebanese Pound'.. Ponder that!

Spring Break, Work, and the Approach of the Inevitable.
Sincere apologies for the Lost-esque break between my blog entries. Goodness knows I've been trying to get this post done for the better half of the last two weeks, but life has a way of distracting me, kind of like shiny things distract George W, except distractions don't cause me to screw up a country. (Oh he WENT there!)
*clears throat*
Firstly, I wanted to quickly thank everyone that reads, and everyone that comments here, it really is a great feeling knowing that even though I can't be in touch with you as often as I'd like, you still hang around to see what I'm up to! Kudos to you ladies and gents!
Having said that, it's time for excitement, it's time for flagrant displays of questionable behavior, it's time for Spring Break baby! Yeah!!
..well.. it would be..
Unfortunately, once again I'm going to miss it.. (Shazbit!)
This year, like the last, there's just way too much happening to get down to the US and partay. But this year, unlike last, I'm not in the least bit disappointed.
One of the reasons for this is the fact that I just started a new job, at a multimedia firm. *joy!*
(Yes, an actual job at an actual established business!)
In fact, (and I don't like to jinx things, but), it's pretty much exactly the job I imagined myself doing, and it came at a great time.
Check it out, the business is called invoke media.
I'm on board as a graphic/web designer, and so far I've only been there two days, but it's been a great 2 days.
Anyway, I'm sure you'll here more about what I've been up to there if I don't have to sign an NDA, so I'll leave it there!
.. and now for 4 sentances of randomness..
Capitalizing things I put in the title seems to be a habit of mine, therefore, because I wrote 'and the Approach of the Inevitable', I thought I had better make mention of something inevitable, just to make the title live up to it's name...
Luke, maybe you'll make sense of this..
Usually I'd have something witty to end this entry with, alas, I just can't think of anything that's witty, so I'll end it with a normal period..
Endings like this are anti-climactic.. So, uh, I'll just end it here!.
Cheers everyone!
